Approaching 3 furlongs out, Oriental Spirit (GB), placed second, was hampered when left short of room between Global Effort (IRE), placed fourth, and the winner Amroon (GB) in a tightly packed division of runners at the rear of the field, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Amroon (GB).
Approaching the final furlong, Fistral Beach (IRE), unplaced, was denied clear running after its rider attempted to take a tight gap to the inside of a weakening Tom Tulliver (GB), unplaced, which edged marginally left-handed, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
