The winner Start Time (IRE) appeared to show an improvement in form, compared with its previous run at Chester on 12 July 2019, where the gelding finished ninth of twelve, beaten 7¾ lengths.
Paul Midgley explained that the gelding may have appreciated being able to dominate on this occasion.
His explanation was noted and Start Time (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Ben Curtis reported that Presidential (IRE), placed second, jumped awkwardly and was slowly away.
