It was noted that Tom Marquand, the rider of Paxos (IRE), had originally entered the wrong stall.
Being satisfied that this was due to the number on the back of stall 2 having come detached from the stall, causing the stalls handler to incorrectly load the gelding into stall 4 rather than stall 2 despite Marquand’s insistence that it was the incorrect berth, no further action was taken.
Following the race, David Probert reported that Calin's Lad (GB), placed fourth, reared as the stalls opened.
