An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the first bend when Arlecchino'S Leap (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Shane Gray, interfered with Bated Beauty (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Tom Queally, which in turn interfered with Celtic Artisan (IRE), placed third, ridden by Stevie Donohoe.
Gray was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he had edged left-handed towards rail when insufficiently clear of Bated Beauty (IRE), causing that gelding to be checked across the heels of Arlecchino'S Leap (GB), which resulted in Celtic Artisan (IRE) being severely hampered.
Approximately one furlong out, the winner, Street Poet (IRE), hung quickly right-handed before being corrected by its rider, carrying Ghazan (IRE), placed second, briefly off its intended line, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Street Poet (IRE).
Following the race, Luke Morris reported that Subliminal (GB), placed seventh, ran flat.
Racheal Kneller reported that Gonzaga (GB), unplaced, lost its action in the home straight; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
The Veterinary Officer further reported that Whatwouldyouknow (IRE), unplaced, lost its left fore shoe.
