Permission was given for Aquarius (IRE) to go early to post and to wear a hood in the Parade Ring and for Starchant (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after 2 incidents of interference.
The first incident occurred approaching the final furlong when Celsius, placed second, ridden by Martin Dwyer, interfered with Valentino Sunrise (GB), placed sixth, ridden by Nicola Currie.
The interference was found to be accidental as Celsius shifted quickly left-handed carrying Valentino Sunrise (GB) off its intended line.
The second incident occurred on the run to the line when Dwyer interfered with SWEET FORGETME NOT (IRE), placed third, ridden by John Egan, who in turn interfered with Mrs Worthington (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Rob Hornby.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Celsius (IRE)’s placing as the momentum lost by SWEET FORGETME NOT (IRE) was less than the ¾ of a length between them at the line.
Dwyer was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left- handed without sufficient correction carrying Egan and Hornby off their intended lines.
Following the race, Martin Dwyer reported that Celsius, placed second, hung left-handed under pressure.
