The Stewards enquired into an incident rounding the first bend involving Grain De Folie (FR), ridden by Mr B.W
Harvey, unplaced, Street Fighter, ridden by Miss A. Hourigan, unplaced and Watergrange Jack, ridden by Mr N.J
Redmond, placed sixth, where it appeared Grain De Folie ran short of room on the railing. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. B.W. Harvey, stated that his mount suffered interference from his outside and got tight for room on the railing. Mr. N.J. Redmond stated that his mount tightened the horse on his inner when a rider in difficulty in front of him turned sideways. Miss A. Hourigan stated that her mount got very excited at the start and that she did her best to keep it under control. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that the incident was caused by Street Fighter being unruly at the start and no further action and that no further action was warranted

An I.N.H. flat race for four, five, six and seven years old only that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing Weights - 4-y-o 11st 11lbs 5, 6 and 7-y-o 12st 2lbs Mares allowed 7lbs Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 10th June) may also ride in this race.
