An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Saulire Star (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Brandon Wilkie, Wildmountainthyme (GB), unplaced, ridden by Faye McManoman, Bellshill Beauty (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jonny Peate and Another Odyssey (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Sean Kirrane.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Wilkie was accompanied in the enquiry by a jockey coach.
Kirrane was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he angled his mount from stall 14 across to the inside rail for the first furlong, causing Peate to be carried across to the rail without consideration for the two horses on his inside, causing both McManoman and Wilkie to take significant checks.
Inside the 3 furlong marker, Bellshill Beauty (IRE), unplaced, hung quickly right-handed causing Bigbadboy (IRE), placed third, to be briefly taken off its intended line.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Das Kapital (GB) which finished fifteenth of sixteen runners, was considered.
John Berry’s explanation that the gelding was unsuited by the track on this occasion and would benefit from a more galloping track was noted.
Berry also stated that he agreed with the Connor Murtagh's report, that the gelding was slowly away.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding, during routine testing failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race Faye McManoman reported that Wildmountainthyme (GB), unplaced, had suffered interference shortly after the start.
