The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages of this race involving Greenland, ridden by R.L. Moore, placed fourth, Hellsing, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed first and Papilio, ridden by J.P. Spencer, placed second, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned

R.L. Moore, stated that he suffered interference from his inside and was unsure if it coast him a better position

C.T. Keane, stated that his mount had received a bump from his inside in the closing stages. J.P. Spencer, stated that his mount hung left handed previously and that he was anticipating a recurrence of this, but his mount hung right on this occasion causing interference despite his best efforts. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alterations to the Judge's placings and took no further action other than to advise J.P. Spencer to ride with more awareness in future
