The winner, Dono di Dio (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Salisbury on 21 August 2020 where the mare finished eleventh of fourteen, beaten by 46¼ lengths.
Michael Madgwick’s explanation that Dono di Dio (GB) had been slightly reluctant to line up and jump off on its previous run which had been started by flag, and appreciated a return to starting from stalls on this occasion which allowed the mare to jump off on better terms and make ground from a more advanced position than before, was noted.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong when Miss Morocco (GB), placed third, ridden by Adam Kirby, interfered with My Boy Sepoy (GB), unplaced, ridden by Oisin Murphy.
Kirby was cautioned for careless riding as he had manoeuvred right-handed into a gap, causing Murphy to take a slight check.
