The Starter reported that Balzac (GB) refused to enter stalls and was withdrawn at 14:08.
Stuart Williams was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Luigi Vampa (FR) which had veered sharply right leaving the stalls, losing several lengths.
David Menuisier was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also jinked right leaving the stalls causing the rider to be unseated at Haydock on 4 July 2020, Menuisier was informed that any future similar behaviour from Luigi Vampa (FR) may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
The performance of Cozone (GB), which finished unplaced, was considered.
Amanda Perrrett’s explanation that the colt ran flat was noted.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Cozone (GB) failed to reveal any abnormalities.
