An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after there appeared to be interference on the run to the line between the winner, Indian Brave (IRE), ridden by Robert Dunne, and On The Road (IRE), placed second, ridden by Adam Wedge.
The riders were interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, after which it was found that no interference had taken place and that both runners had drifted right- handed independently.
The Stewards’ therefore ordered the placings remain unaltered.
Following the race, Jimmy Frost reported that Legend Of Zorro (IRE), placed sixth, was unsuited by the ground, which was officially described as Heavy on this occasion, and would prefer a faster surface.
