The consistant, if frustrating, Striking Force came into this race as a reserve and made the most of the opportunity under a strong ride from Fran Berry.

The pair came from well off the pace to collar recent course winner Russian View close to the finish.

Nanita Bonita gave a solid look to the form finishing 4 1/2 lengths of the front pair in third.

Mikey showed speed to the home turn and also raced prominently at Navan last weekend and may be worth watching when running over a shorter distance.

Chiefofthemowhawks was hopelessly left coming out of stalls and his run is best ignored.
