The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident approximately four furlongs out involving Ilitch (FR), ridden by Mr D.G. Lavery, unplaced, Irish Panther (GB), ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed second, and Quantum Storm, ridden by Mr H.C. Swan, placed fourth, where it appeared Llitch got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. D. G. Mr. H. C. Swan stated that he kept his line and caused no interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found Mr. J. L. Gleeson, was in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard, the Raceday Stewards suspended Mr. J. L

Maguire, unplaced, and Irish Panther (GB), ridden by Mr J.L. Gleeson, placed second where it appeared Bold Brook had to check. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr. F. Maguire stated that his mount was very green and awkward and not able to hold his position. Mr. J. L. Gleeson stated that he was travelling well and caused no interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted
