Permission was given for Jeans Maite (GB) and Jazz Legend (USA) to go to post early.
Ustath (GB) finished third at Southwell the previous day.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Officer, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
ZUKERBERG (IRE) finished sixth at Southwell the previous day.
An enquiry was held into the apparent delay in notifying the Stewards regarding the proposed change of rider on Spring Romance (IRE).
The Trainer, Michael Appleby was interviewed.
Having heard his evidence, the Stewards gave permission for the indisposed Tim Clark to be substituted by Ben Curtis and the matter was forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Magnificia (IRE) arrived at the start with blood in its mouth.
Having been examined by the Veterinary Surgeon at the start, the filly was deemed fit to race.
On leaving the stalls, Ustath (GB), placed fourth, jumped right, hampering Zuckerberg (IRE), placed seventh.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Ustath (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start when Jazz Legend (USA), placed third, ridden by Kieran O’Neill, interfered with Ustath (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Tyler Heard, and Burmese Blazer (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Phil Dennis.
O'Neill was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to shift left-handed towards the inside rail when insufficiently clear of a free-running Ustath (GB) which was carried onto Burmese Blazer (IRE), causing Dennis to take a significant check.
Following the race, Phil Dennis reported that Burmese Blazer (IRE), unplaced, suffered interference in running.
George Rooke reported that Lincoln Red (GB), placed sixth, was slowly away.
