The Stewards enquired into possible interference after the last fence involving Benefficient, ridden by B.J. Cooper, placed first and Hidden Cyclone, ridden by Andrew J.McNamara, placed second. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that while interference had taken place, they were not satisfied that Benefficient had improved his placing in relation to Hidden Cyclone. The Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action. D.N. Russell, rider of Rubi Light (FR) trained by Robert Alan Hennessy, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount burst a blood vessel in running.
