That’s a bit of a surprise and we only got her a couple of months ago. She’s a lovely mare and jumps brilliant. I thought she’d need the run and she did as she took a good blow but was able to keep going. It’s our first winner for the Halleys (Gerry and Debbie) who are very old family friends and neighbours of ours. I’ve no real plan as I genuinely thought she would need the run today. The Stewards interviewed R. Loughran, rider of Dont Stop, concerning his use of the whip after the third last fence. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3 (b) the unnecessary hitting of a horse after its chance of winning or being placed is clearly gone. Having taken his previous record into consideration, the Stewards suspended him for 2 racedays .
