Mr T. O'Connor, rider of Nibbles trained by Turlough O'Connor, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was badly hampered at the fourth last hurdle
The Stewards enquired into the Parade Ring proceedures where Kilbree Warrior, trained by Oliver McKiernan and ridden by R.J. Condon, crossed the parade ring after being mounted without being requested to do so by an Official. Afonso Vidal, Authorised representative for Oliver McKiernan, stated that he had instructed the groom to stay walking on the horse path but he had failed to do so when their charge was mounted. He accepted responsibility and apologised for their actions. R.J. Condon stated that his mount was already on the grass when he mounted the animal and he continued across the parade ring. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that R16 had been breached by both the trainers Authorised representative and the rider concerned by crossing the parade ring in contravention of the provisions of R16. Having taken their clean records into consideration, the Stewards fined Oliver McKiernan €100 through his Authorised representative and fined R.J
Condon €100
At the request of the Stewards, R. Deegan, rider of Jewelinthesky, trained by Eoin Christopher McCarthy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ran green during the early part of this race, came off the bridle in the back straight, past beaten horses in the latter stages of this race and stayed on in the straight.
