The Stewards interviewed J.J. Slevin, rider of Slige Dala, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found J. J. Slevin in breach of Regulation 10.3.(g), excessive frequency. Having considered J. J. Slevins record in this regard the Stewards cautioned him on this occasion
At the request of the Stewards, J.W. Kennedy, rider of Ardhill, trained by Gordon Elliott, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was a one paced horse that stayed on well but may appreciate a step up in trip.
