He did have a bad run in the Curragh but his bloods came back very wrong and in Ascot he couldn’t handle the ground. Gary said he battled really well but was a bit ring rusty at the start. A mile is no problem as he’s relaxing in his races and is very rideable. It took him a couple of strides longer to hit top gear than Gary thought but he battled back. It was a bit scary. The Stewards interviewed J.A. Heffernan, rider of Dont Bother Me, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 211 and having considered his record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard. The Stewards interviewed C.T. Keane, rider of Reckless Endeavour, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 211 and having considered his record, cautioned him concerning his future responsibilities in this regard. The Stewards interviewed S. Foley, rider of Vitello (GB), concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 211 and having considered his record, fined him ?150. The Stewards interviewed C. O'Donoghue, rider of Split The Atom, concerning the fact that he appeared to move across before reaching the marker poles. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered evidence from the rider, the Stewards accepted the explanation offered and took no further action.
