Tyler Heard, the rider of Glamorous Crescent (GB), drawn 14, was slow to remove the blindfold resulting in his horse being slow to start.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Heard’s explanation that the blindfold had been tucked tightly into the mare’s bridle and therefore took a second attempt to remove, was noted.
Following the race, Nicola Currie reported that Bring The Money (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed and stopped quickly; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding shortly after the race failed to reveal any abnormalities other than Bring The Money (IRE) had lost its right-fore shoe.
Tyler Heard reported that Glamorous Crescent (GB), placed sixth, was denied a clear run.
