The Stewards held an enquiry following a report from the Equine Welfare and Integrity Officer that Mark Loughnane had raised concerns that a member of his staff was found to be not in a fit state to carry out his duties.
Mark Loughnane and the EWIO were interviewed.
Having heard their evidence, the Stewards ordered a report to be forwarded to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority for further consideration.
Karl Burke was fined £650 for doubly declaring Dizzy G (IRE) to run in the William Hill Ayr Bronze Cup Handicap (Class 2) and the Al Maktoum Cup Arran Scottish Fillies' Sprint Stakes (Listed Race) (Class 1), both at Ayr, with the filly running in the former.
John Quinn had received prior permission from the BHA to run Captain Jameson (IRE) with no hind shoes.
Dizzy G (IRE) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
He'zanarab (IRE) finished unplaced at Ayr the previous day.
The Veterinary Officer reported that an examination on arrival back at Ayr deemed the gelding fit to race.
The Starter reported that Music Society (IRE) was the subject of a third criteria failure.
Tim Easterby was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Music Society (IRE) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the gelding would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.
Following the race, David Allan reported that Look Out Louis (GB), unplaced, ran too free.
