Permission was given for Zapper Cass (FR) to go to the start early, and for Thegreatestshowman (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go to post early.
Upon arrival at the start, the Veterinary Surgeon expressed concerns about the movement at the walk of Zapper Cass (FR).
Having been examined and trotted up at the start, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
Approaching the final furlong, the winner, Zapper Cass (FR), hung right, giving a slight bump and turning the quarters of Birkenhead (GB), placed fourth.
However after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Zapper Cass (FR).
