The Stewards interviewed R. Whearty, rider of Fallen Forest, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who accepted that he was in breach of the regulation and apologised. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were satisfied that R
Whearty was in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency and 10.3.i, time to respond. Having considered R. Whearty's record in this regard the Stewards suspended R. Whearty for two racedays and ordered him to attend R.A.C.E for one days tuition on the correct use of the whip. R. Whearty was accompanied at this enquiry by Gary Bannon

An extended handicap for four years old and upwards rated 50-80 Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st 2lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 6lbs Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
