Late Arrival (IRE), drawn 6, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started, thereby enabling the gelding to break quickly.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.

For some distance in the back straight, a hard pulling Empress Of Bough (IRE), placed fifth, was being checked by its rider when trapped close to the heels of South Dakota Sioux (IRE), unplaced, which ultimately caused Back Tomorrow (GB), placed second, to be inconvenienced on the rail.
An enquiry was held to consider interference at the end of the back straight involving, Glamorous Express (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jack Doughty and Late Arrival (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Joanna Mason.
Being a 7lb claiming apprentice, Doughty was accompanied in the enquiry by a senior rider.
Doughty was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to shift left-handed when insufficiently clear of Late Arrival (IRE), causing Mason to take a check.
Following the race, Joanna Mason reported that Late Arrival (IRE), suffered interference at the end of the back straight and Hayley Turner reported that Empress Of Bough (IRE), placed fifth, ran too free and hung left-handed.
