Permission was given for Arctic Mountain (IRE) to wear a red hood to the start and for Shifter (GB) to go early to post.
The raceday privilege request in relation to Shifter (GB), trained by Wilf Storey, to go early to post, was late being submitted.
Storey was warned as to his responsibility to ensure that all raceday privilege requests are submitted before 1pm on the day before racing.
The Clerk of the Scales objected to Arctic Mountain (IRE) unplaced, ridden by Christian Howarth and trained by Saeed bin Suroor, on the grounds of the rider weighing in at 9st 2lb, having weighed out at 9st 11lb.
The rider and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed.
Howarth’s explanation that his weight cloth had fallen off after his saddle had slipped, was noted.
Arctic Mountain was disqualified.
Following the race, Jonny Peate reported that Prenup (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling.
The Veterinary Officer reported that Shimmering Sands (GB), which was pulled up, bled from the nose.
