The Stewards interviewed Mr P.W. Mullins, rider of Aslukwoodhavit (GB), concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards found Mr. P. W. Mullins in breach of Regulation 10.3.g, excessive frequency. Having considered Mr. P. W. Mullins record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for two racedays
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages involving Aslukwoodhavit (GB), ridden by Mr P.W. Mullins, placed second and The Banger Doyle, ridden by Mr F. Maguire, placed first, where it appeared that interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the judges placings. They were however, of the opinion that Mr. F. Maguire was in breach of Rule 214, in that he had ridden carelessly. Having considered Mr. F. Maguire's record in this regard the Stewards suspended him for two racedays

An I.N.H. flat race for four years old only that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing Weights - 11st 11lbs; Fillies allowed 7lbs; Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. Professional Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules (other than Apprentices) who have not lost the right to claim the 7lb allowance under Rule 52 (iii) (up to and including 7th December) may also ride in this race.
