He put in a decent round of jumping when tackling handicap chase company for the first time at the Leopardstown Christmas meeting keeping on in third behind Best Behaviour over a similar distance. Conor McNamara is again in the saddle and his 5lb claim is a good help to the top-weight. At the other end of the weights, The Long Mile may prove the chief threat. He justified strong support when switched to a handicap at Naas last month and could progress further over this longer trip. At The Acorn showed promise on a number of occasions over hurdles last season including behind Eclair De Beaufeu at Limerick and this rates a drop in class following a creditable effort in a competitive Leopardstown handicap. Isle Of Destiny showed improved form when scoring at Down Royal on St Stephen’s Day, while Grand Partner has losses to recover after fading away tamely at Naas last Sunday.
