After a wide margin success at Clonmel, she followed up in a winners’ contest at Killarney. Both of those wins came on good ground. Fellow hurdling debutant The Mediator is the obvious danger. Gordon Elliott’s charge won a small-field bumper at Down Royal last autumn and acquitted himself well when third to a smart stablemate of the selection in a winners’ bumper at Fairyhouse in April. Ballinlough Gale has plenty of experience and has been placed in a couple of handicaps. He has every chance of minor honours but his rating of 101 means that he would be a surprise winner.
