The 2/7 favourite Dysart Dazzler was another bumper winner for Willie Mullins in Kilbeggan's finale but the son of Flemensfirth made fairly hard work of landing the odds.
Ridden along in third entering the final quarter-mile, the chesnut responded and soon moved up to challenge Serious Chat The pair had a bumping match inside the turning final furlong before Eleanor Manning's homebred forged clear in the closing stages to score by two and a half lengths.
Rider Patrick Mullins remarked: “He’s very green, a big baby and not like his brother (Dysart Dynamo).
"He was behind the bridle all the way and I was always going to win but he was just very lazy and didn’t switch on into race mode.
“I think he’ll improve a lot mentally rather than fitness wise and I’d imagine three miles might be more his thing.”
