Formscan By Tom Weekes - FACE THE FACTS has his second hurdles start here and might improve one placing on last month's Naas runner-up run. He was a smart Listed flat winner when trained in England by John Gosden and while he was absent for 431 days prior to his debut for Willie Mullins, he showed some of his old ability when running well over 2m3f at Naas last month. Given he was a stayer on the flat, he would ideally prefer further over hurdles and today's 2m4f trip is a positive with some improvement likely from hurdles debut. Discordantly showed improved from when finishing third at Cork recently and looks a danger. He looks likely to win his maiden hurdle, looks progressive and should be able to give the selection something to worry about. Diol Ker ran very well at Leopardstown over Christmas when looking an unlucky loser. He stumbled on landing at the final flight then and while that wasn't the strongest of maiden hurdles, he did run a very sound race and encounters the same ground conditions and trip today. Moratorium is a bumper winner but needs to improve a little to win today.
