1 ½ furlongs from the line, the winner, Jems Bond (GB), went for a legitimate gap at the same time Kittybrewster (GB), placed fifth, edged slightly left-handed, made contact with Jems Bond (GB) and became unbalanced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Jems Bond (GB).
Inside the final furlong, Tynan(IRE), unplaced, edged sharply right-handed which caused Glen Lomond (GB), unplaced, to take a slight check and the rider of SIX O’HEARTS, unplaced, to sit up and take back off heels, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Tynan (IRE), which finished eighth of nine runners, was considered.
The representative of R K Watson could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance, on this occasion.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post race examination of Tynan(IRE), during the routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
