An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start when A CHANCE TO BE ME, unplaced, ridden by Callum Shepherd, interfered with the winner, LAIETH, ridden by Jason Watson. Shepherd was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he had he had allowed his mount to move right-handed towards the rail when not sufficiently clear, making contact with LAIETH and causing the gelding to become unbalanced.
