An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line involving the winner, Onurbike (GB), ridden by Lee Edwards, Max O (IRE), placed third, ridden by Mr Phillip Armson and Itsamanslife (IRE), placed third, ridden by Ben Poste.
The interference was found to be accidental as Onurbike (GB) lugged right-handed despite the rider's best efforts to straighten him, having become unbalanced when making a mistake at the last fence which resulted in him carrying Max O off his intended line and onto the quarters of Itsamanslife (IRE).
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that the winner, Onurbike (GB) lost his right fore-shoe.
