On the run to the line, Saaheq (GB), placed second, edged slightly left causing Tom Marquand, the rider of the weakening Rose Hip (GB), placed seventh, to momentarily ease his mount, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Saaheq (GB).
Following the race, Hollie Doyle reported that Outrage (GB), placed sixth, was slow into stride.
Andrea Atzeni reported that Royal Birth (GB), placed eighth, hits its head on the stalls and was subsequently never travelling, the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
