Ben Robinson, the rider of Lexikon (GB), drawn 9, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, the rider was suspended for 1 day.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start involving Lexikon (GB), unplaced, ridden by Ben Robinson; Pandora Star (GB), placed second, ridden by Thore Hammer Hansen; Regal Ambition (GB), unplaced, ridden by Amelia Glass and FREEDOM’S BREATH, unplaced, ridden by Mark Crehan.
Robinson was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left when insufficiently clear, causing Pandora Star (GB) to be carried off its intended line, which in turn caused FREEDOM’S BREATH to be checked.
Having heard her evidence, it was found that Amelia Glass was not affected by the incident.
Following the race, Aaron Jones reported that Rusper Dreams (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of the gelding failed to reveal any abnormalities.
