The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Celebrate In Style, ridden by W. Joyce, Cherry Bloom, ridden by L. F. Roche, Lamprog, ridden by S.P. Davis, and Anima Erat (FR), ridden by R.P
Cleary, where it appeared Lamprog had to check off heels. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W
Joyce stated that a gap appeared but he did not have the horse to fill it. L. F. Roche stated that his mount went right initially and when he gave it a hit it then went left. S. P. Davis stated that he had a gap but it closed from the outside and he did not switch right as he was afraid he would clip heels. R. P. Cleary stated that he got tight for room from both sides a furlong down. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action other than to advise L. F. Roche to ride with more awareness in the future
