The Stewards reviewed an incident over two furlongs from the finish involving Musalsal, ridden by S.T
McCullagh, placed fourth, Teddy Boy, ridden by D. McMonagle, placed fifth, Drummond Warrior, ridden by James J. Doyle, unplaced and Theriverrunsdeep, ridden by N.M. Crosse, placed third , where it appeared that Drummond Warrior jinked left and both Musalsal and Teddy Boy reacted by moving left as a consequence. Having reviewed the recording of that part of the race and considered the matter, the Stewards were satisfied that no action was warranted.
An extended handicap for three years old and upwards rated 45-65 Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 10st 2lbs and the minimum weight shall not be less than 8st 6lbs Penalties - (after calculation of the handicap) A winner shall carry 6lb extra for each race won.
