He's very smart, we liked him a lot and picked this race out a while ago for him. We were very hopeful with his homework but then when you start hearing the talk about the others you get a little bit less confident. He's done it very well, he was a little bit slow away and in hindsight that's probably helped him and he's learned plenty. He was still quite green when he got there and ran about. They didn't go that fast and he's quickened up well from far enough back. The plan for us was that if he was able to win a race like this we'd bring him to the Chesham. He's another breezer, we bought him off Tallyho again. He's a lovely horse and anything he does this year is a bonus as he's bred to be a three-year-old. We're delighted and looking forward to him. The Stewards enquired into an incident over one furlong from the finish involving Auguste Rodin, ridden by R.L

Moore and Shadowed, ridden by S.M. Crosse, where it appeared that Auguste Rodin ran short of room when trying to challenge between Dubawi Spectre (GB) and Shadowed. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. In his evidence, R.L. Moore stated that his mount was stuck on the rails and got into gap between Dubawi Spectre (GB) and Shadowed but the gap closed on his mount, a two year old having his first run. S.M. Crosse stated that he had the whip in his left hand when he let his mount down to run and he used it in that hand to stop his mount from going left but he jinked to the right at that point. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action

S.M. Crosse, rider of Shadowed trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around when he hit the front.
