Approaching the first bend Clownsman (GB), unplaced, which was clear of the field, moved towards the rail in front of a free running Mashaan (GB), placed third, which was improving to the inside, resulting in the gelding being shifted off its line which in turn caused Desert Lime (GB), placed sixth, to move to the rail causing Cativo Ragazzo (GB), unplaced, to have to be steadied momentarily.
After viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final half furlong involving Shomoukh (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Jack Mitchell, Letscrackon (IRE), placed eighth, ridden by Rhys Clutterbuck, and Alba Del Sole (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Darragh Keenan.
Clutterbuck was cautioned for careless riding for allowing his mount to drift right-handed without correction, taking Letscrackon (IRE) off its intended line and causing Mitchell to have to take a precautionary check as, at the same time, Alba Del Sole (IRE) on the outside had edged slightly left-handed.
