Permission was given for Rock On Baileys (GB) to wear a hood in the Parade Ring.
The Starter reported that Kieran Shoemark, the rider of Goodnight Girl (IRE), unplaced, and Callum Shepherd, the rider of Pattie (GB), unplaced, had both started from the wrong stall.
The riders and both Starters were interviewed and shown recordings of the start.
Shoemark and Shepherd were both suspended for 1 day.
Following the race, Daniel Tudhope reported that Island Of Life (USA), placed fifth, was denied a clear run and Tom Marquand reported that Solar Gold (IRE), placed third, was also denied a clear run.
Pat Cosgrave reported that Victory Wave (USA), which started favourite and finished unplaced, was never travelling and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing, revealed the mare was lame on its left fore.
