Approaching the bend out of the back straight, Yusra (GB), placed second, shifted right causing Angus Villiers, the rider of the winner, Crystal Casque (GB), to take a check causing Al Nafoorah (GB), placed fifth, to stumble, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.

Hector Crouch reported that Al Nafoorah (GB), placed fifth, suffered interference in running and was then never travelling, Michael Wigham reported that the mare was lame behind shortly after the race and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Al Nafoorah (GB) revealed the mare to be stiff behind.
