An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 2 furlongs out when the winner, Muritz (GB), ridden by Killian Leonard, interfered with Never Said Nothing (IRE), placed second, ridden by Ray Dawson, who in turn interfered with Some Picture (IRE), unplaced, ridden by George Bass, who in turn interfered with Bad Company (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Charlie Bennett.
Leonard was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed without sufficient correction carrying Dawson off his intended line onto Bass, who in turn was carried off his line onto Bennett, who as a result had to take a check.
