The Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Cois Sionna, ridden by E.J. McNamara, placed fourth, Getaway Queen, ridden by C.P. Hoban, unplaced and Prime Chief, ridden by Sam Ewing, unplaced, where it appeared that Getaway Queen got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards gave Sam Ewing the benefit of doubt on this occasion and took no further action other than to advise him to ride with more awareness in the future
