An enquiry was held to consider an incident after the fourth fence when One Night In Milan (IRE), ridden by Sean Bowen, made a bad mistake and whilst in the process of pulling up appeared to carry out Howling Milan (IRE), ridden by Robert Dunne.
The interference was found to be accidental as One Night In Milan (IRE) blundered badly, causing Bowen to nearly be unseated, and veered across the track with the rider being unable to gather his reins or irons in time to continue to the next fence, and in doing so carried Howling Milan (IRE) out of the race.
