Prior to this race, James Fanshawe was asked to explain why he was running Archer's Dream (IRE) here at Doncaster on going described as Good to Firm, after his representative had reported that the filly was unsuited by the Good to Firm going and would prefer a slower surface at York on 12 July 2019.
The representative of the trainer’s explanation that, having walked both courses where Archer's Dream (IRE) had been declared to run, in her opinion, the ground at Doncaster would be riding on the easier side of Good to Firm and therefore not as fast than as at York, with the filly preferring easier going, was noted.
