Almost Gotaway (IRE) unseated its rider on the way to the start.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon and the Doctor at the start, both the gelding and rider were deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference in the final furlong involving the winner, Almost Gotaway(IRE), ridden by David Prichard and ISSAR D’AIRY (FR), placed second, ridden by Caoilin Quinn.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Almost Gotaway's (IRE) placing as the winner was always holding its position beating ISSAR D’AIRY (FR) by half a length.
Prichard was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he failed to correct his mount from drifting left-handed under a right-handed drive.
