Permission was given for Jupiter Express (IRE) to go early to post.
Leaving the stalls, Jupiter Express (IRE), placed fourth, jumped right-handed, giving a bump to Port Noir (GB), unplaced, which in turn gave a bump to Almodovar Del Rio (IRE), but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Jupiter Express (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference, approximately 1 ½ furlongs, involving Jupiter Express (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Frederick Larson and Port Noir (GB), placed second, ridden by Billy Loughnane.
Larson was cautioned for careless riding as he was slow to correct Jupiter Express (IRE) from drifting right-handed resulting in Port Noir (GB) being carried off its intended line.
Following the race, Frederick Larson reported that Jupiter Express (IRE), placed fourth, ran too free and Mollie Phillips reported that Alya's Gold Award (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away.
