An enquiry was held to consider interference on the bend entering the back-straight, involving the winner, Gavi Di Gavi (IRE), ridden by Georgia King, River Song (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Adam McNamara and Cheat (IRE), unplaced, ridden by James Sullivan.
As a 7lb claiming apprentice, King was offered the chance to be accompanied in the enquiry but declined.
Sullivan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he manoeuvred left-handed when insufficiently clear, crowding River Song (IRE) onto Gavi Di Gavi (IRE), causing King to take a check.
Approximately 4½ furlongs out, a free running Servo (IRE), placed seventh, shifted quickly left-handed, tightening Hector's Here (GB), placed sixth, for room against the rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Rounding the home turn, a weakening Cheat (IRE), unplaced, lugged right-handed carrying River Song (IRE), unplaced, wider which resulted in Zafaranah (USA), unplaced, being checked, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, Adam McNamara reported that River Song (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed.
