The Raceday Stewards requested a report from J.P. Murtagh, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Sevensees (GB), placed first, as compared with its recent form. Denis Linehan, Authorised Representative for the trainer, reported that a drop in trip back to five furlongs and a good 7 lbs claimer had helped to bring about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the report, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanation offered
