The Stewards requested a report from Cathal Persse, rider of Bergentown who fell on the flat at around the two furlong pole. Cathal Persse reported that his mount stumbled and fell independently. Having viewed the recording and considered the evidence, the Stewards took no further action
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Rock Of Tuskar, trained by Paul Nolan, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have an abrasion on its left fore cannon but to be otherwise post race normal
The Stewards requested a report from Gavin Cromwell, trainer as to the apparent improvement in form of Donnrua Dream, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr. Justin McGovern, Authorised representative reported that the testing conditions today allowed the animal to put its stamina to good use and this in his opinion brought about the apparent improvement in form. Having considered the evidence the Stewards noted the contents of the report.
An extended handicap hurdle for four years old and upwards rated 80-102 Weights - Top weight in the original handicap and after the time of declaration shall not be less than 12st and the minimum weight shall not be less than 9st 12lbs Penalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap shall carry 5lb extra for each hurdle race won.
